ASUS TUF F17 – No Drives Found

This guide explains how to resolve the “No Drives Found” error when installing a fresh copy of Windows on an ASUS TUF F17 by loading the missing storage controller driver required for the installer to detect the SSD.

Download Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST) driver

  1. Download Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST) driver: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/GamingNB/FX507ZE/RST_V19.1.0.1001_PV.zip
  2. Unzip file to USB stick
  3. While in Windows Setup and looking for drive to select to install Windows on
  4. Click Load driver and browse to USB stick and folder RST_V19.1.0.1001_PV
  5. Select [Intel RST VMD Controller 9A08 (TGL)] and proseed as usual
